Our client, a leading global consultancy, are currently looking for a C and C++ System Embedded Engineer to join for an initial 6-month contract based in Berkshire, on a hybrid basis.

ROLE: C AND C++ SYSTEM EMBEDDED ENGINEER
LOCATION: BERKSHIRE (ONCE PER WEEK IN OFFICE INITIALLY, THEN FLEXIBLE)
RATE: £400 A DAY INSIDE IR35
LENGTH: 6 MONTHS WITH SCOPE TO EXTEND

Key responsibilities:

* Prepare low level Technical Solution Design

* Pure hands-on development, capable of doing the embedded things

* Mostly lower-level system programming for custom linux kernel development

Key skills and knowledge:

* Must have experience with systems programming and Linux kernel development

* Commercial experience with custom Linux distribution build tools such as Bitbake or Buildroot.

* Commercial experience with Git or other DVCS

* Experience with scripting languages such as Python

* Experience with other systems programming languages such as Rust and Go

* Experience with embedded microcontroller programming
