ICA Technician
A great opportunity has arisen for an ICA Technician to join a dynamic and mobile site team operating in the clean and wastewater sectors. This role involves on-site instrumentation, control, and automation installations, testing, and sign-offs for a range of projects, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities of the ICA Technician will include:
* Carrying out instrumentation, control, and electrical installations on water company sites.
* Conducting FAT/SAT testing for panels and MCC works.
* Travelling to client sites, including overnight stays and paid overtime as required.
* Completing electrical system inspections, identifying faults, and performing necessary tests.
* Compiling reports and completing paperwork for each project.
* Collaborating with mechanical trades as part of a multi-skilled team.
* Working in compliance with BS7671, company policies, and client standards.
* Reading and adhering to risk assessments, method statements, and manufacturer’s manuals.
* Maintaining high-quality work standards and ensuring site safety at all times.
Requirements:
* Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Experience in instrumentation, control, and automation systems, preferably in industrial settings.
* Strong understanding of BS7671 and health and safety practices.
* Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in industrial environments.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to travel and stay overnight as required.
* A full UK driving licence is preferable.
