We are currently seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable main contractor engaged in both public and private sector construction projects.

The Role: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be an essential part of our client’s team, contributing to the successful delivery of a diverse range of projects, including care homes and educational facilities. This role is based in Dartford and offers a dynamic working environment where your expertise will be valued.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates and budgets for ongoing projects.

* Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports to senior management.

* Manage procurement processes, including contract negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.

* Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any financial issues that arise.

* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards throughout the project lifecycle.

* Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, preferably with exposure to care home or education projects.

* Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.

* Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

* Strong communication and negotiation skills.

* Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
