Key Responsibilities:
As a Science Teacher, your role will include:
Delivering Engaging Lessons: Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, crafting lessons that spark curiosity and foster a deep understanding of the subject.
Specialist Teaching: Confidently teach your science specialism, adapting lessons to ensure they meet the diverse needs of your students.
Creating a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a stimulating, supportive environment where students are encouraged to explore and experiment.
Preparing for GCSE Exams: Provide focused preparation for GCSE exams, developing both scientific knowledge and exam techniques to support student success.
Tracking Student Progress: Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance to enhance their academic performance.
Collaborating with Colleagues: Work closely with the Science department and school staff to deliver a cohesive, dynamic curriculum.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate who:
Holds QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent qualification in Science (unqualified teachers with relevant experience may also be considered).
Has proven experience teaching Science in a secondary school and a track record of improving student outcomes.
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum, particularly in your area of expertise.
Exhibits excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to engage students of various abilities.
Is proactive, collaborative, and dedicated to driving improvements in student outcomes.
