Title: Procurement Lawyer

Location: Newham

Salary: £24.53 hour

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Temporary: until 29/12/24 with the possibility of extension

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-level legal advice on procurement matters to Councils, Members, and Officers
Support the delivery of legal solutions in various areas of legal work to help the Councils achieve corporate goals
Contribute to a shared back office support service, offering expertise in procurement and related areas
Handle a portfolio of high-quality legal work across multiple disciplines and locations
Supervise and mentor junior team members, including trainees and support staffRequirements:

Qualified lawyer with expertise in procurement and related legal areas
Proven experience in providing strategic legal advice and solutions
Strong understanding of corporate goals and the ability to align legal strategies accordingly
Excellent communication and leadership skills
