Cedar is currently partnered with a venture capital-backed Consumer business to secure an Interim Head of Finance, based in Central London. This is an interim role offering a £650 - £800 per day (Inside IR35) and the opportunity to shape the financial future of a fast-scaling, innovative business.

The Company
This VC-backed Consumer business is experiencing significant commercial success, have a strong brand identity and loyal customer base. Currently pursuing Series C fundraising, they are seeking a dynamic and strategic finance leader to join their London-based team.

The Role
As Interim Head of Finance, you will:

Oversee financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
Lead month-end close processes, reconciling all transactions efficiently.
Drive technical reporting compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations.
Support FP&A functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide commercial financial insights that drive business growth.
Manage and mentor the operational finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Your Profile
You will ideally have:

A formal accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Experience in a fast-paced, scale-up environment, preferably within consumer goods or ecommerce.
Strong technical accounting skills with expertise in UK GAAP and IFRS.
A proven track record of process improvement and financial controls.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.
Availability to begin immediately or at short notice.
Previous experience within interim roles is desired but not essential.
The day rate of £650 - £800 per day represents a fair value, or logical increase on your previous salary or day rate.
