Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our team at a Birmingham secondary school immediately. This is a temporary position that will run until the end of the academic year in July. The successful candidate will be passionate about science, with a strong ability to engage and inspire students at the secondary school level.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and interactive Science lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
*
Plan, prepare, and mark lessons in line with the national curriculum and school policies.
*
Provide high-quality teaching and support to students of varying abilities.
*
Assess, monitor, and record student progress to inform teaching practices.
*
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
*
Work closely with other staff members to enhance the overall learning experience.
*
Contribute to the extracurricular activities and broader school community.
*
Ensure safeguarding and well-being of students in line with school policies.
Requirements:
*
A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
*
Strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics).
*
Previous teaching experience, ideally at the secondary school level (although NQTs are welcome to apply).
*
A passion for teaching and helping students achieve their potential.
*
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
*
A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
*
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
