Location: Near Preston, Leyland / Midge Hall
Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 per annum (DOE – Open to experience levels)

Role Overview:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to our innovative projects. The role involves working on design and development within the specialised marine / boat building sector, focusing on the integration of mechanical systems and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the mechanical design of products, focusing on innovative and efficient solutions.

* Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed models and drawings for new and existing products.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mechanical systems meet design and operational requirements.

* Provide solutions to complex engineering challenges.

* Work with customers and clients to understand their needs and ensure project requirements are met.

* Involved in all phases of the product life cycle, from design to development and testing.

Key Requirements:

* Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably within the marine, automotive, or industrial sectors.

* Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.

* Strong understanding of product design and engineering principles.

* Ability to drive the design process and manage the full project lifecycle.

* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

* Prior experience in inflatable technologies or related fields would be a significant advantage.

Advantageous skills:

* Experience with AlphaCam or CNC cutting machinery
