Job Title: Litigation Solicitor
Salary: Up to £65K DOE
Location: Newport, hybrid.
Hours: Full time.

This established, full service, law firm in Newport, offers tailored legal solutions for both business and personal matters. With a friendly team of roughly 40 staff they combine specialised expertise with a personal touch to their clients as well as supporting their colleagues and aiding professional development.
Responsibilities:
* Covering a wide range of contentious litigation including but not limited to, Personal injury, Dispute Resolution, Landlord & tenant boundary disputes, employment etc.
* Assess and manage various dispute cases, including debt recovery, wills and probate, professional negligence, property, and contract dispute
* Develop and discuss tailored strategies with clients to ensure efficient resolution processes.
* Provide clear, honest advice on available legal options and potential outcome
* Facilitate alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods like negotiation and mediation to minimise court involvement
* Handle litigation matters with urgency, focusing on cost and time efficiency.
* Maintain open communication with clients, keeping them informed at every stage of their case.
* Foster strong client relationships through understanding, diplomacy, and legal expertise.
* Uphold high standards of client care and adhere to streamlined processes to maintain quality accreditation.
Required experience:
* Qualified solicitor or equivalent 1PQE +
* At least one year hand on experience in one of the above areas. Training and supervision is provided.
* Ideally you will have experience in a wide range of contentious litigation happy to work a wide range of files, develop and assist the growth of the department.
* The firm is open to the level of PQE they hire, whether you're 15+ years qualified or an NQ with solid experience. Your application will be considered.
