Caretaker / Driver
Location: Silverstone, Northamptonshire
Contract: Contract, Outside IR35
Report to: Chief Operating Officer
Rate: £17.68 per hour (Outside IR35)
Our client is looking for a Caretaker / Driver to join their team. They are looking for someone with a “can do” attitude and strong lateral thinking skills, who is excited by a multi-tasking and using their skills day to day.

About the role
Person Specification
You will work individually to support the team leaders and core business functions. The role requires a proactive individual with relatable experience. We are interested to hear from applicants who can demonstrate fundamental understanding and experience in the following areas
Caretaker
* Conduct routine inspections of the two sites to ensure they are well-maintained, and in compliance with safety standards.
* Perform general maintenance tasks such as light repairs, painting, and basic troubleshooting.
* Coordinate with the facilities management team to address any maintenance or repair issues promptly.
* Complete regular fire alarm tests
* Adhoc maintenance to facility.
* Undertake and record regular checks on equipment, legionella risk, alarm systems, ladders and fire extinguishers and report any problems arising.
* Identify and report building, furniture or fitting deficiencies to landlord and ensure rectification as appropriate.
* Undertake range of handyperson duties (ie those not requiring a qualified craftsperson) as directed, that contribute to the maintenance of the facility (eg remedial painting and decorating, repairs to fittings and small scale improvements, repairs to taps and cisterns, fitting shelves/ notice boards etc).
Driver
* Operate company vehicle to make deliveries and collect parts from suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate transportation.
* Plan efficient routes to optimise delivery schedules and minimise travel time.
* Inspect and maintain vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition and report any issues to the appropriate department.
* Ensure all deliveries and collections are accurately documented, and paperwork is completed in accordance with company procedures.
Accuracy, time management and adherence to deadlines are key to achieving success within the business.
You will be communicating with all areas of the business. As a result, you will also need to demonstrate effective communication skills.
All applicants are required to have:
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Proven experience in driving and logistics, with a strong understanding of safe driving practices.
* Facility maintenance and repair skills.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Physical capability to perform lifting and carrying tasks associated with deliveries and basic maintenance.
* Follow, create, and disseminate good working practises and processes
* Thrive operating in small team environments
