Hamilton Woods Associates are currently working on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation, who are recruiting for a Family Support Worker to work across their service for families affected by domestic violence and homelessness.

Responsibilities of the Family Support Worker:

Supporting children, young people and families living within refuge services
Organising and creating group play sessions for children of all ages that have experienced domestic abuse
Undertaking risk assessments
Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed
Leading play activities during school holidays and after school
Creating family-based activities families to facilitate children and parent relationships
Supporting positive parenting by providing parenting support and programmes
Providing practical information and assistance to women about local services for children, such as nurseries or school
Fostering multi-agency working

Essential Criteria of the Family Support Worker:

UK Driving License and access to own vehicle
Enhanced DBS
Experience working within a similar supported living environment
