About the Company:
My client is a well-established construction firm that specialises in delivering adaptation works for Birmingham City Council's social housing stock. With a strong reputation for quality and reliability, they focus on improving homes and enhancing communities across the city. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team and contribute to the successful delivery of vital refurbishment and adaptation projects.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all costs associated with building, from initial calculations to final accounts. They will work on a range of adaptation and refurbishment projects within Birmingham City Council’s housing portfolio, ensuring cost control and project efficiency while maintaining high standards of work quality and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within social housing or public sector construction projects
Strong knowledge of construction methods, procurement practices, and regulations
Excellent analytical, financial, and negotiation skills
Experience with contract administration (JCT/NEC contracts)
Proficiency in relevant QS software and MS Office
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
Professional membership with RICS or CIOB is highly desirable What’s on Offer:
