Position Details:

Location: Banham, Norfolk

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday) or part-time (4-day week), term time only

Salary: £12.50 - £14/hr (Holiday pay included)

Contract: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

Prepare engaging learning materials and organise interactive activities.

Provide hands-on support, addressing the emotional and physical needs of pupils.

Encourage individual development, helping pupils engage meaningfully with the world around them.

Support indoor and outdoor classroom activities, adapting to diverse pupil needs.

Lead outdoor learning initiatives, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.

Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver creative lessons and maintain a clean, safe classroom.

SEN Teaching Assistant Skills & Requirements:

Previous experience in similar roles, especially supporting pupils with Autism (desirable).

A team player who thrives on collaboration and sharing ideas.

A passion for supporting neurodiverse pupils, particularly those with Autism.

Experience working with young people with learning disabilities or Autism is advantageous.
