Position: PMLD Teacher

Location: Waltham Forest, London

Start Date: September 2024

Salary: £140-£220 (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences tailored to the needs of students with PMLD.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff and external professionals.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and support their learning and development.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other stakeholders.
Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure the well-being and progress of each student.
Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with students with PMLD in a special educational needs (SEN) setting.
Strong understanding of the unique challenges and strategies for teaching students with PMLD.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
