Fantastic electrical engineering opportunity working for a world renowned rolling stock manufacturer, at their Old Oak Common depot in London. All relevant electrical engineering experience considered.
Job Title: Electrical Modifications Technicians
Job Location: North West, London
Hourly Pay Rate: £26.03 Paye/£33.33 Umbrella
Shifts: Minimum of 50 hours a week. Overtime available.
Shift Pattern: Nights (Monday - Friday)
Duration: On-going contract
Start Date: ASAP
Position Summary:
Working at a live Rail Depots we require Electrical Modifications Technicians who will initially be engaged for the implementation of a suite of modifications on the Class 345 Aventra fleet project
In addition, the position holder will eventually be responsible for:
* Carrying out routine maintenance and repair on Electric Multiple Units.
* Undertake installation of new HVAC systems.
* Take responsibility for the safe, efficient and professional workmanship of oneself and others under your control.
* Working within a team to complete modifications and upgrades in a safe and efficient manner.
Duties could include the following:
* Follow routine work instructions (VMI's).
* Following detailed wiring schematics.
* Crimping and rewiring components.
* Basic safety and installation tests.
* Utilising a Multi Meter (Megger Meter).
* Supporting the mechanical mods team on mech installations.
* Carrying out work recording via both paperwork and computer (SAP)
Qualifications / Education required:
Minimum requirements NVQ Level 3 or equivalent award in an Electrical discipline or similar.
