Year 5 One-to-One Teaching Assistant (Level 2)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced One-to-One Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 student at a local primary school in Lancaster. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child with complex needs. This role is to start as soon as possible.

Position: One-to-One Teaching Assistant (Year 5)
Location: Lancaster
Hours: 08:45- 15:15, Monday to Friday, term-time only
Salary: £14.20 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support to a Year 5 student with complex needs.
Assist in delivering tailored learning strategies and activities.
Support the student in accessing the curriculum, ensuring they are engaged and progressing.
Work closely with teachers and other staff members to monitor the student's development and well-being.
Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Essential Criteria:

Experience working with children with complex needs.
Strong understanding of supporting children with special educational needs.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong, positive relationships with students.
At least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification required.
