Counterbalance driver who is able to work as a Machine Operator required, Wellingborough area, 4 on 4 off shift pattern rotating days & nights, immediate start available, Temp to Perm Opportunity for the right person, Immediate start, training will be given.

We are looking to recruit a Counterbalance Driver who is also able to work as a machine operative to join our client who deal with recycling of plastics. You will be running machines that are driven by PLC driven control systems which manages the process to allow old materials to be recycled into new material for manufacturing purposes.

The main responsibilities of this role will be the following

Operate PLC driven control systems to optimise production processes
Carry out diagnostic checks identifying faults and report to the relevant personnel
Safe operation of all equipment within the department
Work safely following standard operating procedures at all times.
Complete a visual safety inspection of equipment and machinery prior to operation.
To operate and continuously monitor machinery to ensure optimal running conditions
Supporting the the Production Supervisor with continuous movement throughout the shift
Identifying, weigh and record waste products and ensure they are disposed of in the correct way
Complete visual safety checks of the equipment prior to operating
Ensure housekeeping during productionTo be considered for this role you are required to have the following

FLT Counterbalance Licence
Machine operating background coupled with some form of quality inspection
Knowledge of PVC plastics would be ideal but not essential
Can work on their own initiative but also in a small team
Excellent timekeeping and attendance
The ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
Display a positive can-do attitude
Strong attention to detail
Flexible approach to shift working including rotating day & night shift patterns (4 on 4 off 6am to 6 pm and 6pm to 6am)This is a long term opportunity with the chance of permanent employment for the right person.
