G-Tec is a CEM company who supplies printed circuit board assemblies for the electronic industry. Originally established in 1978, the company operates from a modern office and hi-tech production facility on the outskirts of Aldershot town.
Electronic Manufacturing/Electronic Assemblies
You will be working within a team responsible for the inspection/conformance of PCB assemblies to IPC manufacturing standards at levels 2 & 3. Product inspection includes a variety of PCB assemblies with surface mount and conventional PTH components, a range of cable assemblies and completed enclosures.
You will be required to use visual aids such as Mantis scopes, optical cameras and AOI machines to verify or decide the acceptability of both in process and finished quality. Understanding assembly drawings and BOM’s is mandatory to ensure compliance to IPC standards.
Experience with automated optical inspection, AOI would be of benefit, although training would be given to a suitable applicant.
-You will need a minimum 3 years of recent experience in PCB assembly and/or inspection.
-Comprehensive understanding of IPC standards.
-Currently or previously certified to IPC standards.
-A pro-active approach to managing and reporting to the quality manager.
Additional skills sought:
-Experience with AOI machines, either operating or programming.
-Re-work & soldering
-Experience with X-Ray and Camera inspection tools (internal training can be provide)
Our modern ESD facility is air-conditioned. All positions are permanent 39-hour week with paid overtime.
