My client are seeking a Site Supervisor with proven experience in Responsive Repairs and Damp & Mould Works within the Social Housing sector. In this role, you will oversee and manage day-to-day operations across a variety of responsive repairs projects, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with relevant regulations. The role will also focus heavily on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of damp and mould issues in tenants’ homes, which is a common challenge within the social housing sector. This role requires travel within the M25, a flexible attitude to travel is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsive Repairs:

Supervise the day-to-day management of reactive repairs, including general repairs to kitchens, bathrooms, heating systems, roofing, electrical systems, plumbing, windows, and doors. These repairs are typically carried out in response to tenant calls, often following an emergency or urgent repair request.

TEnsure all responsive repairs are completed in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs) and that tenants’ homes are restored to a satisfactory condition quickly. Prioritise urgent and emergency repairs, including leaks, heating failures, or electrical hazards, while ensuring non-urgent repairs are scheduled efficiently.

Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess the scope of responsive repair work required. Appropriately schedule repairs and allocate resources to ensure swift resolution.

Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure that all repairs meet regulatory and safety standards, while delivering cost-effective solutions. Address any complaints or issues raised by residents regarding repairs, ensuring a positive tenant experience.

Ensure all repairs are compliant with relevant social housing standards, including Decent Homes Standard, ensuring that properties meet the government’s required living conditions for tenants.

Supervise the identification and treatment of damp and mould issues within social housing properties. This includes ensuring that works are carried out to prevent further damage, improve indoor air quality, and prevent future occurrences of damp and mould.

Oversee remediation works, including installing appropriate ventilation systems, applying anti-mould treatments, improving insulation, and re-plastering affected areas.
Skills & Experience Required:
*
Proven experience in the social housing refurbishment sector, particularly in responsive repairs and damp & mould treatment. You must be familiar with the challenges tenants face in social housing, including tight budgets, emergency response requirements, and working within occupied properties.

Strong understanding of the types of responsive repairs that are common in social housing, including emergency plumbing, electrical, heating, and structural repairs, as well as experience in managing and scheduling these types of work.
*
Experience in diagnosing and addressing damp and mould issues in residential properties, including knowledge of appropriate treatments and remedial works. An understanding of how damp and mould affect the health and wellbeing of tenants is essential.

CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness.
*
Longevity with current or recent employer is essential.
*
Driving Licence is essential.
