Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining key client relationships, and driving the company’s revenue growth. This role requires excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and a strong understanding of market dynamics.
Overall Responsibility
Lead Generation: Identify and generate new business opportunities through market research, networking, and prospecting.
Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business development goals and targets.
Proposal Development: Prepare and present proposals, business plans, and sales pitches to potential clients. Negotiate contracts and close deals.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, and product development teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities. Prepare regular reports for management.
Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build a network of contacts and stay updated on market trends.
Customer Feedback: Collect and relay customer feedback to relevant departments for continuous improvement of products and services.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Reporting Requirements
To ensure all client records are up to date and accurate at all times.
To complete & update clients freight profiles.
All filing, correspondence & communication records are up to date & easily accessible and identifiable on Uniserve systems.
Customer feedback is positive.
Ensure all quote requests are acknowledged immediately and responded to within 24 hours of receipt.
Ensure all quotes are logged, followed up and recorded on the quote log and recorded in M/F or Sugar as directed.
Meet weekly targets set for calls and appointments
