We're looking for a Tipping Hall Operator to work for our client.

We are seeking for a candidate who will be able to Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety, addressing and reporting concerns to support a zero-incident workplace.

Role Responsibilities:

Effectively manage the tipping hall area by directing internal and third-party vehicles to the correct bunkers, managing the shutter doors and barrier systems, and promptly reporting any damage incidents.
Monitor material streams delivered to the tipping hall, ensuring compliance with waste acceptance criteria.
Maintain a clean, safe operating area with consistently high standards of housekeeping.
Communicate with the control room operator to ensure effective management of bunkers.
Manage tools and equipment used in tipping hall operations and associated cleaning tasks.

Job Title: Tipping Hall Operator - MT
Reporting to: Waste Supervisor - MT
Location: Isle of Wight Waste Recovery Park, PO30 5YS (Fully site-based)
Salary Range: £23,000 (£11.79 p/h) - £24,000 (£12.31 p/h)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 (37.5 hours per week)
Overtime Agreement: 1.33 (Mon – Fri), 1.5 (Sat), 2 (Sun)
 
 Skills and Experience:

No prior experience necessary.
IOSH – Working Safely Certification.
Ability to remain calm under pressure in operational situations.
Strong communication skills for managing internal and third-party site users.
Positive attitude with a drive to continuously improve processes.
Proactive in managing daily tasks.
Willingness to perform other tasks within your capability as requested by senior management to meet business needs. Benefits:
