Manual Machinist

Location: Ramsgate

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

A leading maintenance and repair facility with a strong reputation in the aerospace industry is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist.

Job Purpose:

To perform and support the overhaul and salvage of aircraft components within the Manufacturing Precision Business Unit Machine Shop.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct machining tasks to support aircraft component overhauls, including Precision Grinding, Honing, Boring, Milling, Turning, CNC Turning, and Bush/Bearing Fitting.

* Assist in monitoring stock levels of bonded metal and consumables as needed.

* Support improvement initiatives within the Manufacturing Precision Business Unit Machine Shop.

* Ensure adherence to quality standards.

* Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement and maintain housekeeping standards.

* Assist with maintenance of plant and equipment.

Required Skills:

* GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English

* Strong technical abilities and an eye for detail

* A proactive approach to improvement and quality assurance
