We are working with our client who are an established airside support business in their search for a stores person or parts technician based in Manchester. It will be your responsibility to receive, store raw materials, parts, equipment and issue it out accordingly maintain traceability.
Responsibilities;
* Provide prompt and courteous counter service for personnel calling in at stores to collect items
* Respond to telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner
* Issue materials to the GSE Technicians, ensuring that all paperwork is signed off correctly
* Purchase from local suppliers as and when required
* Pick and pack stock orders ready for delivery to outstations
* Ensure parts are correctly scanned onto ELC (in-house software used to manage the day-to-day business)
* Deliver materials/equipment/items to shop floor/work areas as required
* Updating Supervisor regularly with the pending parts status
* Check and Receipt of deliveries to site
* Notify suppliers immediately of any damaged goods or short shipments
* New stock items to be located and labelled as required
* Participate in stock counts and reconciliation against ELC inventory
* Ensure stock items have appropriate bar codes attached always
* Ensure full traceability of all stored materials/items
* Ensure all items are appropriately stored for their size and weight
The person
* Previous experience in a store’s environment
* Knowledge of PPE and some mechanical parts or materials advantageous
* Able to use computers and input data
* FLT license advantageous
This is a dayshift Monday – Friday position. Occasional travel may be required to other sites which will be paid for so candidate must have some flexibility
