The team is responsible for developing and delivering electronics engineering within the business, while driving forward innovation in technology, projects, and team development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Electronics: Producing circuit design, components, and PCB technology, focusing on areas such as EMC, power management, servo control, processor interfacing, and communications.
- Electrical: Designing power and signal systems, including overall architecture, power flow, and system wiring, with knowledge of various production processes.
- Set and maintain high standards of engineering practice, becoming an expert or aspiring expert in the field.
- Suggest and implement process improvements with a focus on innovation.
- Communicate effectively with senior engineers, technical leads, and occasionally brief senior managers or customers.
- Take an active role in R&D and technology development by applying subject matter expertise to projects.
- Provide technical leadership in multi-disciplinary projects, delivering systematic solutions for customers.
- Support and mentor less experienced engineers, overseeing development and training.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:
- Strong degree (or HND with proven experience) in a related discipline, typically with 18 months to 6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working within project teams on multi-disciplinary projects with challenging goals.
- Solid understanding of electrical and electronics designs, both theoretical and practical.
- Ability to conduct analysis, define power budgets, specifications, and generate technical reports.
- Proficiency in producing electrical/electronic designs, with experience in technical drawings and supporting production teams.
- Willingness to lead projects through the full lifecycle, from concept to customer delivery.
- A passion for innovation, with a desire to challenge conventional approaches.

Desirable:
- Membership in the IET, with interest in working towards Chartership (C-Eng).
- Familiarity with laboratory tools such as multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, and PSUs.
- Experience with embedded software design (C, C++, C#).
- Knowledge of EMC, including emissions management and disturbance effects like EMI or lightning.
- Understanding of motors and drive technology, with motion performance analysis experience.
- Awareness of control systems analysis, simulation techniques, and tools such as Python, Matlab, Simulink, LT-Spice, Simetrics.
- Experience with management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project.

- Attention to detail, with the ability to present clear information through schematics, reports, or proposals.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to identify and communicate risks or conflicts to managers in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates courage in tackling design challenges, with resilience and determination.
- Upholds integrity, ensuring tasks are completed as promised, while maintaining a flexible and diligent attitude.
