The role:
The Principal Electronics Engineer is a pivotal leader responsible for driving key projects, setting high engineering standards, and serving as an expert in their field. This role requires proactive enhancement of engineering processes, with a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement. The Principal Engineer will engage frequently with senior management, directors, and clients, contributing to bids, proposals, and business development. They will lead the advancement of technologies and apply expertise to R&D and project work. Additionally, they will provide technical leadership on multi-disciplinary projects, fostering systematic approaches and delivering client solutions. The role includes supporting line management by mentoring, training, and planning resources for sub-teams, ensuring the growth and development of the engineering team.

What we want from you:

Strong degree in a relevant discipline accredited by the IET, with approximately 10 years of relevant experience.
Extensive background in leading and overseeing projects or teams.
Robust theoretical and practical expertise in electronic design.
Skilled in conducting analysis-based activities such as circuit simulation, performance analysis, and power budgeting.
Proficient in identifying key project risks, scheduling, mitigation strategies, and critical design tasks.
