Job Description:
As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of our governmental construction project in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. You will be responsible for overseeing on-site operations, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and supervise day-to-day site operations on a large-scale construction site.
* Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with plans and specifications.
* Ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations and quality standards.
* Prepare and maintain detailed reports on project status, including progress, costs, and any issues encountered.
* Utilize robotic technology for surveying, mapping, and other site engineering tasks to enhance precision and efficiency.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise on-site.
* Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
* Implement best practices in site management and construction processes.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Site Engineer on large-scale construction projects, preferably governmental.
* Proficiency in using robotic technology for site engineering tasks.
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and legal regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to lead and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Professional certification or licensure (e.g., PE) is preferred.
* Physically fit and capable of navigating a large construction site.
* Full right to work in the UK and willing to undergo a vetting process.
