This role is ideal for professionals experienced in signalling installation and maintenance, particularly those holding BS1 or equivalent qualifications. The position involves working Sunday to Thursday nights, ensuring a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting in the installation and maintenance of signalling systems
Working collaboratively with the signalling team to ensure successful project delivery
Adhering to safety and quality standards in all signalling work
Conducting regular inspections and testing of signalling equipment
Assisting in the troubleshooting and resolution of signalling faults
Reporting on work progress and issues to supervisors as required
Maintaining accurate records of work undertaken
Working towards achieving IRSE certification
Job Requirements:
Experience as an Assistant Installer in the rail sector
BS1 or equivalent qualification
Understanding of signalling systems and maintenance procedures
Ability to work night shifts, Sunday to Thursday
Commitment to safety and quality in all tasks
Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
Willingness to work towards IRSE certification
Minimum 40 hours availability per week
