About the role

This is an exciting time to be joining our team based in Southampton and being involved in supporting port activities as a car lasher. You will be required to assist with the lashing and unlashing of vehicles/ heavy plant during the loading and discharging of RORO vessels in Southampton Docks.

This is a flexible opportunity and you may be requested to work day, evening and weekend shifts.

Your daily responsibilities will consist of:

· Lash and unlash vehicles and heavy plant on board vessels in a safe and efficient manner.

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

· Be at least 18 years old. (for insurance purposes)

· Be able to work with a considerable amount of lifting and manoeuvring.

· Be adaptable due to the changing hours and schedules.

· Previous experience desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Successful candidates will be expected to attend Health and Safety Induction and a lashing assessment; they will be subject to Identification checks and referencing checks.
