Transport Planner
Office based role
Location: Hull
Salary: up to £35k (dependant on experience)
Hours: Mon-Fri

Grafton Recruitment are working on behalf of a global leading company who are looking for a Transport Planner to work in their Hull office.

The role:

To be the main contact person for Drivers and Hauliers
Planning all operational activities on time and in the most cost-effective manner
Dealing with day to day logistics challenges
Providing creative, cost effective, transport solutions
Dealing with customers in a professional manner and problem solving
Arranging deliveries
Dealing with any problems that may ariseYou will need:

Minimum of two years road haulage planning experience is essential
Ability to work well under pressure and react quickly to customer requirements
Understands and demonstrates a safety culture
A high sense of responsibility, to achieve operational excellence
Communicates clearly with Drivers and colleagues in the office
Excellent telephone and communication skills
Able to plan and organise work in a structured way whilst being able to adapt to ever changing scenarios
Strong team player with ability to work on own initiative
Ability to problem solve and be creative in finding solutions
Fast and accurate IT skills
