Quality Engineer - 6 Month Contract – York, North Yorkshire

Offering Circa £40,000 - £50,000 Basic Salary

Our client is an established manufacturer with a proven track record gained within the Construction industry. Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting a Quality Engineer (6 Month Contract) to review their quality performance across two key areas; Product Design & Manufacture and Onsite Installation & Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating RCA’s, supporting the implementation of correction actions and helping identify process improvements, ensuring compliance with relevant HSE legislation.

Quality Engineer – Key Responsibilities

* Ensure all Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety management systems are current, adequate, and that all requirements are met in full - ISO 14001, 45001, 9001:2015, and 50001 accreditation.

* Ensuring the business is legally compliant to health and safety legislation.

* Implementation of the QESH strategy and management of the function on a daily basis.

* Driving continual improvement of a safe behaviour culture.

* Lead the Non-Conforming Report and Root Cause Analysis processes, ensuring year on year improvements, and full engagement of all contributing areas.

* Responsible for internal auditing procedures and the follow-up and resolution of all non-conforming actions.

* Establish and maintain an effective system for identifying and reporting accidents, incidents and other non-compliance and implementation of corrective actions resulting from investigations to ensure organisational learning is achieved.

* Provide appropriate reporting to the board on all relevant QESH topics.

* Ensure external certification audits are planned and supported.

* To support the development and management of the QESH budget, providing meaningful analysis and data.

Quality Engineer – Candidate

* Experienced Health & Safety professional with a strong understanding of Quality.

* Confident leading continuous improvement projects. Able to identify and implement process improvements.

* Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant field.

The Quality Engineer position is offering Circa. £40,000 - £50,000 basic salary (pro rata) on a 6 month contract. The successful candidate will be based from our client’s York Head Office.
