Reporting to the Executive Director for Place, this role is responsible for establishing and implementing resource and strategic plans across a broad range of technical functions.

About the Director- Major Infrastructure Delivery:

Drive transformational change within the area of responsibility by leveraging innovation and creativity to enhance services and adapt to the evolving needs of end users
Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of major infrastructure and large highways improvement projects to enhance quality placemaking for the benefit of residents and businesses.
Cultivate strategic partnerships within and beyond the organisation to drive sustainable service improvements, strengthen capacity, and enhance resources and resilience.
Ensuring legislative compliance while driving the efficient and effective delivery of the Council’s ambitions to benefit residents. 
Your previous experience as a Director- Major Infrastructure Delivery:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, complemented by significant management experience in a complex business environment.
Membership in a recognised professional body and/or evidence of ongoing professional development (CPD).
Extensive experience and expertise in relevant industry concepts, principles, and best practices.
Strong understanding of the interconnections between various Place-based services with a Local Authority
Awareness of the challenges affecting local government and the broader economy, along with their impact on relevant service areas.
