Questech are recruiting on behalf of a company we are working with based in Doncaster. They have a high reputation and are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join thier team

Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm. Once the fitter understands the plant and is established, they’ll be moved onto a shift that works weekends with two days off mid week.

This is a Temporary to Permanent position

Role Responsibilities:

* Routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and machinery.

* Hard face Welding

* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.

* Collaborate with the engineering team to improve equipment reliability and performance.

* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

* Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.

Skills and Experience Required:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, preferably within a heavy engineering environment.

* Apprentice trained NVQ L3 or equivalent

* Experience with gearboxes, hydraulics, conveyors, motors

* Welding experience

* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

* Proficiency in reading technical drawings and manuals.

* Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.

* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
