Wheel Technician
Trainee alloy wheel technician full time 7am - 3am
Tyre removal, vehicle workshop experience preferable.
Full training on alloy wheel cutting CNC machines given as part of role.
Full driving licence essential
will need to work every other saturday overtime and bonus available
The wheel technician position will come with full training all we ask is that you have some previous experience in the car industry, basic knowledge of tyres and wheels.
Wheel Technician - What you’ll do day to day
· Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle components to assess wear, damage, or required replacements
· Offer support and guidance to fellow Technicians in the workshop, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing
Wheel Technician - Helpful skills and qualifications
· Strong problem-solving skills, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work
· Proven ability to meet efficiency targets while maintaining a keen eye for detail
· Ability to collaborate and contribute positively within a team environment
· Must hold a full UK driving licence
Wheel Technician - Key Attributes:
· Works as part of the workshop team to carry out scheduled vehicle service and repair work, in accordance with the relevant manufacturers standards
· Carries out all workshop work in an efficient and safe manner and maximise workshop utilisation and productivity
· Carries out each job within the budgeted time as set out on job card – to maintain own labour productivity
· Works with colleagues to maintain workshop standards of cleanliness and tidiness
· Follows key processes to achieve specified quality and efficiency targets
· Provides assistance and guidance to colleagues who are less skilled or knowledgeable about a particular vehicle or technology
· Works with colleagues and other teams across the Centre to provide a seamless service.
· Reports on technical problems using appropriate procedures
· Ad hoc duties as and when required to meet the needs of the business
