We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our clients warehouse team on a temporary ongoing basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, and relocate products within our warehouse. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and maintaining a safe working environment.

The working hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm but could be subject to change due to company needs.

Responsibilities

* Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials around the warehouse.

* Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.

* Conduct regular inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance issues promptly.

* Pick and pallatise goods using pick sheets and order forms.

* Maintain accurate inventory records by performing regular stock checks and updating databases as necessary.

* Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members.

* Assist in organising the warehouse layout to optimise space and improve workflow.

* Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

* Valid Reach forklift operator certification is required.

* Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred.

* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

* Good physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy items as needed.

* Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

* Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
