Centrica is seeking a motivated Threat & Vulnerability Analyst to join our Cyber Defence team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and addressing security threats and vulnerabilities using a variety of security tools. Location: Hybrid (occasional travel to the office)
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct vulnerability assessments and threat analyses using security tools and threat intelligence.
Monitor and respond to emerging threat intelligence and vulnerabilities, collaborating with stakeholders and business units across Centrica.
Utilize Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools to enhance endpoint protection.
Manage and triage findings from various security tools.
Document vulnerabilities, remediation efforts, and manage security incidents.
Analyze security data and provide insights to wider teams, including cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Infrastructure/External Attack Surface Management).
Stay updated on industry trends and attacker techniques.
Collaborate with our threat-informed defence functions to ensure timely remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in cybersecurity, focusing on threat and vulnerability management.
Relevant cybersecurity certifications preferred and a strong understanding of security frameworks and standards.
Experience with Penetration testing
Hands-on experience with security tools, including but not limited to vulnerability management tools, EDR, NDR, SIEM, Qualys etc
Proactive mindset and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Strong team player.

Desirable Attributes:
Experience with additional security tools.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
Knowledge of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure).
