Integrity Education Solutions are supporting a unique independent SEN group based in London, that provides therapeutic education for children and young people with special educational / neurodiverse learning needs (SEN).
They are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and experience senior social worker or senior leader (Education) to join their specialist provision for vulnerable neurodiverse young people in their community based therapeutic service, from January 2025 on a 12-month fixed term contract as a Co-Headteacher.
You will preferably have a background leading a specialist provision for vulnerable neurodiverse young people, driving an inclusive learning environment and re-engaging pupils in education through a community-based therapeutic service.
Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, you will be the driving force for the service to create and maintain an inclusive learning environment, working alongside the other Co-Headteacher (Teaching & Learning) to ensure a holistic approach to the academic, social, and pastoral education of our young people.
Due to the nature of the company's work and pupil cohorts, the individual will play a key role in overseeing and ensuring positive changes for vulnerable and complex young people, providing the opportunity and resources to thrive, supporting strategically in the community to improve and maintain pupils' attendance and engagement with learning. Your background will allow you to cascade expert knowledge to staff, guiding them in supporting pupils in the best way possible, navigating complex behaviour, as well as drive up attendance, pupil progress and outcomes.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
* Resilient and robust, role modelling outstanding professionalism.
* Qualified Social Worker (with current SWE registration) ideally with senior service management experience within paediatric social work, MASH Teams, therapeutic or mental health sectors; or be a Qualified Teacher (with experience of leading an SEND, Therapeutic or Outreach provision).
* Experience of driving high quality inclusion strategies and initiatives to support best practice with vulnerable and complex groups.
* Proven skills in data analysis to inform strategic planning and solution focussed work.
* Experience supporting and developing staff to provide appropriate support and interventions for neurodiverse young people, especially in developing social, personal, and independent and leadership skills.
* Proactive and innovative, mentoring team members in other disciplines, whilst also with the ability to work flexibly and independently.
* Experience of coaching staff to improve their practice.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a minimum of five years at leadership level or recognised Therapy Degree qualification and Health Professions Council license to practice, with a minimum of five years post qualification experience, or recognised social work degree level qualification with current UK registration, and a minimum of five years post qualification experience.
Salary offered: £75,000 – 82,500 (Dependent on experience)
