Role: Quantity Surveyor (PQS)
Location: London
Salary: £45,000 to £60,000 + package
Working arrangement: Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days remote)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and highly motivated Quantity Surveyor with experience in UK infrastructure projects to join a leading cost & project management consultancy in Central London. In light of a number of successful appointments with clients including Network Rail, EDF and the Environment Agency and continued involvement with various other major projects across the UK and abroad, the Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in supporting these clients and others with both pre & post contract duties.
As a key member of their busy and growing commercial team, the Quantity Surveyor will be overseeing the entire spectrum of pre-contract and post-contract commercial services for high value (£100m+) heavy civil engineering and infrastructure projects. Some of your key duties will include:
Providing commercial and contractual administration and auditing on projects using the NEC3, NEC4, NR and FIDIC contracts, ensuring compliance and effective contract management throughout the full lifecycle of the project
Work closely with Project teams, contributing valuable insights and support to ensure a successful project outcome within both a client organisation or consultancy environment
Undertake professional report writing, to analyse information comprehensively and articulate clear and concise evaluations and recommendations
Foster positive relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations whilst addressing any commercial concerns and challenges throughout a project
Identify assess and manage any risks to safeguard project objectivesQuantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to meet the following requirements:
Extensive background in delivering pre-contract and post-contract commercial services for UK infrastructure, utilities, or civil engineering construction projects exceeding £100 million in value
Proficient in administering or auditing contracts such as NEC4, NR, and FIDIC, showcasing comprehensive knowledge and experience in contract management.
Proven track record of contributing to project delivery teams, whether within a client organisation or consultancy, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively in complex project environments.
