Contract Length: 6-Month Initial Contract
Pay Rate: £450/day (Inside IR35)
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer with strong setting out experience to join our team on the prestigious HS2 project in Birmingham. This is a crucial role within the HS2 Major Projects - Area North - Feeder segment, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects. The initial contract is for 6 months, with potential for extension based on project requirements and individual performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Setting out: Accurately setting out works according to design plans, specifications, and tolerances.
Managing and supervising all on-site engineering activities, ensuring they align with project specifications, safety standards, and deadlines.
Conducting site surveys, inspections, and quality checks to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
Coordinating with the project management team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of site operations.
Monitoring progress and providing regular reports to the project management team.
Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Site Engineer with a focus on setting out.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction processes, and relevant legislation.
Proficiency with surveying instruments and CAD software.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
A valid CSCS card.
Previous experience on major infrastructure projects, ideally within the rail sector.
