A new opportunity has become available for an Equipment Engineer to work with our client who is a world leader in the production of industrial gases.
You will be responsible for, and manage the development of, all Customer Engineering Services (CES) supply schemes, equipment designs and the component portfolio in response to business needs. The key drivers for these needs include SHEQ, legal compliance, growth and efficiency
The location of the successful candidate would be flexible but would ideally be based within NW England, there is also a possibility of part site / part home based.
Job Role
Manage the development of the CES Supply Scheme on customer sites ensuring that all appropriate safety regulations are strictly adhered to. Encompassing the design, installation and maintenance of the gas supply system, distribution pipe work and gas control equipment.
* In this role you will be responsible for equipment designs, specifications, and technical data
* Be the key interface between CES and Technical Authorities within the Discipline Team
* Further you will develop standardised minimum viable products for the above considering fitness for purpose, value engineering, spares policy, reduced lead times etc
* Work with the CES Training Manager to develop and deliver training packages for supply scheme systems and equipment is required in this role, as well to work with the remote Technical Support team and Business improvement to engineer out, identified problems with equipment, components etc
* You will all supply scheme have had suitable Process Safety reviewed and TA approval
Knowledge and Experience Required:
* Practical knowledge / experience of industrial gas supply schemes, equipment, and components.
* Experience in HAZOP/LOPA assessments
* Knowledge of PED, PSSR, Industrial and Cryogenic Gases desirable, aiming point would be a Technical Authority for these systems and equipment
* Engineering practices for cryogenic and oxygen systems
* knowledge in quality management systems, 5S and lean sigma methodology is desired
* You have strong Man-management skills and computer literacy Good inter-personal skills are required for this role as well as presentation skills

* A fundamental understanding of Health & Safety procedures
* A full UK drivers’ licence
