Location: Sheffield
Daily Rate: £90-£110
Role to start immediately.

SEND Support Assistant Job Description:
Within this SEND Support Assistant role, you will be responsible for supporting pupils in schools that may have additional learning needs. This could include small group work with students, one to one, or assisting the class teacher. Your compassionate nature, patience, and dedication will help create a supportive learning environment where the pupils can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your responsibilities will include:
You will support teaching and learning.
Provide one-one support to students with their learning activities.
Implement strategies and interventions to support the student’s individual needs.
Work closely with the teacher and other support staff to develop learning plans.
Encouraging independence and self-confidence in the students while fostering positive relationships and a sense of belonging within the school community.
Celebrating achievements and progress, no matter how small, to motivate and inspire the student to reach their goals.
SEND Support Assistant Requirements:
Experience working with children would be desirable, but not essential.
The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students, staff, and parents/carers.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, with a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of the student and the school environment.
A willingness to undergo relevant training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEND and behaviour needs.
