Job Title: Nights Engineer - M25 North Near Schemes

Location: M25 North (Various Sites) St Albans - Main Depot

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Rate: £400-£450 per day, with an uplift of x1.25 for night shifts

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nights Engineer to join our team for a 6-month project on the M25 North Near Schemes. The ideal candidate will have experience working on similar infrastructure projects, specifically with the RD8200 utility locator, and must hold a valid EUSR (Energy & Utility Skills Register) certification.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage night-time engineering operations on various M25 North Near Scheme sites, ensuring all works are completed to the highest safety and quality standards.
Utilize the RD8200 utility locator to detect, trace, and map buried utilities, ensuring all operations are conducted with minimal disruption and maximum accuracy.
Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure that project milestones and deadlines are met.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including the provision of detailed risk assessments and method statements for night work.
Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise during the night shifts.
Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including detailed reports on any incidents or near misses.Qualifications and Experience:

Valid EUSR certification is essential.
Proven experience working as a site engineer, preferably in highway or infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in using the RD8200 utility locator is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly in relation to night-time operations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and coordinate night-time workforces.
Ability to work independently, make decisions under pressure, and solve problems on the go.Benefits:
