We have an exciting opportunity for an Upper Limb Assembly Technician to join our existing team at Head Office.
Responsibilities:
* Work to production schedules and manufacture products to specification and drawing tolerances.
* Ensure all production systems and working practices are strictly adhered to at all times.
* Use conventional milling and turning machinery to produce Upper Limb prosthetic products
* Assisting other departments within the business regarding engineering requirements.
* Working as part of a team, sharing information with colleagues, to ensure the products are produced in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
* Adhere to strict health and safety rules and environmental policies.
* Using 5’s principles maintaining good housekeeping methods.
* Partake in team meetings when required to discuss any issues relating to assembly, and / or new products.
What we are looking for:
* The role involves both machining of sub assembly components and assembly of the final products so a broad skillset is essential.
* Apprentice trained mechanical based technician.
* Milling, Turning, Drilling, Grinding etc.
* Bench fitting.
* Soldering / Crimping (preferable but not a necessity).
* Experience of precision assembly work a distinct advantage.
* Possess a minimum education of at least 3 GCSE’s or equivalent (one in Mathematics is essential)
