CAD Designer Permanent Full-Time
Salary - Negotiable
Location - In office, Worcester
We're excited to be supporting a precision tooling solutions company that operates globally. They utilise advanced CNC technology to ensure high-quality and precision in their products. They are experts in providing tooling solutions for the aerospace and industrial sectors.
Due to a continually growing order book, they are now in a position to expand their CAD capabilities and are looking for a motivated CAD Designer with experience in Siemens NX or similar CAD packages, and at least 5 years of tooling design experience, ideally in injection moulding.
Responsibilities, but are not limited to
Produce designs using Unigraphics (Siemens NX) CAD software
Produce models for manufacturing purposes
Produce technical drawings
Liaise with CNC programmers and toolmakers
Attend design kick off and development meetings
Liaise with customers on technical and design issues
Create BOM's and parts lists for ordering parts and materials
Work with managers to implement the companies' policies and business objectives
Take a responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks and report them as appropriate
Carry out any other duties within capability as requiredExperiences required
Competent CAD 3D modeller using Siemens NX (Unigraphics) or similar: PTC Creo, CATIA, Inventor or SolidWorks
Tooling design for injection moulded parts: plastic (PIM) or metal (MIM)
Can create bills of materials (BOMs) and parts list
Must hold a minimum of 5 years professional experience in tooling design
Complex surface modelling is advantageous
Educated at a minimum of a HNC or HND within the relevant fieldPackage
