SDL Solutions Limited is working with a leading UK manufacturer of electronic control solutions. They are seeking a Software Engineer to join their Design and Development team based near Hertford, Hertfordshire.

This is a permanent full-time position, working with an experienced team across a range of platforms. The role will be primarily focussed on creating code using Node.js and JavaScript, running on an embedded Linux platform.

The duties include:-

* Design, develop, code and debug software, primarily using Node.js and JavaScript running on an embedded Linux platform.

* Use appropriate software to develop an embedded web server including front and back-end web development.

* Enhance and further develop our Cloud Server product.

* Integrate and validate new and existing product designs.

* Assess third party and open-source software.

The successful candidate will have:

* Ideally a BSc in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or similar.

* Minimum of 2 years solid programming experience in Node.js, JavaScript and Linux.

* Experience in working with embedded web servers and cloud-based solution.
