This top tier accountancy practice based in Stratford-Upon-Avon requires a Senior Bookkeeper on a 12-month maternity contract, which can be offered as either full time or part time hours.

The Senior Bookkeeper will support a portfolio of clients and assist the Year-End team in the production of accounts including VAT and tax returns. Most clients are based throughout Warwickshire / West Midlands and across a multitude of industries, providing great variation and exposure.

This would be ideal for a finance professional from either practice or industry, that has solid working knowledge of bookkeeping and managing day-to-day accounts and transactional streams.

Responsibilities: 

Day to Day bookkeeping of clients across various sectors
Reviewing & taking ownership of report submissions, handing over to year-end team to process accounts
Ensuring the VAT returns are correct and submitted in line with deadlines
Liaising regularly with clients and HMRC
What we are looking for: 

Previous bookkeeping experience gained within in accountancy practice or from within an accounts function in industry
Practical working knowledge of accounting systems including either QuickBooks, Xero or Sage
The capability of self-managing, multi-tasking and organising workload to meet deadlines
What's on offer: 

A full time equivalent salary up to £28,000 (pro rata) 12 month maternity contract
Can be either full time hours (37.5 hours) or part time
