Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager - MEP
Location: Morley, Leeds
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + Negotiable Package
I am seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join my client based in Morley, Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and talented individual with a strong background in M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) contracts. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing and managing commercial aspects of high-profile projects across the commercial, warehouse/sheds, and office fit-out sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take lead on managing costs for assigned projects to ensure they are within budget and provide maximum value.
* Prepare and manage contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
* Conduct detailed cost analysis and forecasting for projects.
* Collaborate closely with project teams to deliver commercial advice and risk management.
* Handle project valuations, variations, and final accounts.
* Liaise with key stakeholders, including clients and contractors, ensuring a high standard of commercial delivery.
* Provide input into project planning and procurement strategies.
Key Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager.
* Strong knowledge and expertise in M&E or MEP contracts, preferably in the commercial, warehouse/shed, or office fit-out sectors.
* Excellent knowledge of construction contract forms (e.g., NEC, JCT).
* Strong commercial acumen, with experience in cost management, risk analysis, and procurement.
* Ability to work autonomously with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
