Job Description: Forklift Operative

Location: Bristol
Salary: £14.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are a leading meat manufacturing company committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers. We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operative to join our team and contribute to our efficient and safe warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload goods from delivery vehicles using a forklift.

* Stock Movement: Transport raw materials, finished goods, and packaging within the warehouse and production areas.

* Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate stock records and performing stock checks as required.

* Warehouse Organisation: Ensure goods are stored in the correct locations and comply with company standards.

* Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, particularly regarding food hygiene and safe equipment use.

* Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily forklift checks and report any faults or maintenance issues promptly.

* Team Collaboration: Work closely with production and dispatch teams to ensure timely workflow and product availability.

Requirements

* Forklift Licence: Valid and up-to-date counterbalance or reach forklift licence.

* Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably within the food industry.

* Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual handling tasks and work in a cold environment.

* Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate handling and recording of stock.

* Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

* Flexibility: Willingness to perform additional duties as required.
