Job Title: Quality Engineer

Shift: Day Shift

Rate: £35,000 - £42,000 dependant on experience

The Job

This candidate will report in directly to the Quality manager and be responsible for the maintenance, and improvement of quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

* Perform problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement

* Aid in contract review process ensuring the flow down of customer requirements.

* Help in the design and implementation of a robust APQP program.

* Participate in internal and external quality audits.

* Work as part of lean six sigma teams to reduce waste and variations in processes.

The Ideal Candidate:

* 4+ years' of industry experience in a highly regulated industry i.e., Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Medical and Scientific.

* Strong knowledge of quality standards and tools such as ISO 9001, AS9100, IA16949 etc.

* Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving.
