Job Title: Town Planner
Location: Glasgow, Scotland

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an experienced Town Planner or Planning Manager to join a successful and growing Land and Planning Team in the West of Scotland. What You will Be Doing:
You will be part of a small but busy team handling a variety of planning applications, from large-scale developments to smaller, complex projects. This role offers broad exposure across all areas of the planning process-from planning policy and development management to site delivery-allowing you to take ownership and lead on significant projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce planning assessments for new site appraisals
Lead planning applications from Outline/Full to Reserved Matters and discharge planning conditions
Oversee master planning and collaborate with layout designers, engineers, and consultants
Prepare planning statements and various technical documents to support applications
Organise and attend stakeholder/public consultations
Provide responses to emerging local and national planning policy
Support senior management with business decisions and represent planning expertise in meetings
Mentor and train junior team membersWhat We Need from You:

Previous experience in development management or development planning (Local Authority, Planning Consultancy, or Housebuilder/Developer)
Degree or Master's in Planning with RTPI accreditation
Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
Proactive, with a willingness to lead on your own initiative
