SEMH Teaching Assistant

Working with schools in the Bristol area, Team Educate are looking for a resilient and caring individual to work within SEMH school settings.

Students with social and emotional mental health issues display challenging behaviour and often unable to manage their emotions. They may often experience anxiety, emotional outbursts, difficulty forming relationships and disruptive behaviour.

The successful candidate will have experience of working within a classroom setting or in a mentor type role with students with Social and Emotional Mental Health issues. A calm demeanour and positive attitude are beneficial when forming a trusting relationship with the student(s). Empathy will support the acknowledgement of the students’ emotions and allow them to be reassured and have a feeling of safety within their environment.
